"Hugging Saint" embraces NYC

A humanitarian, world-renowned for one simple gesture of love, embraced thousands of New Yorkers on Sunday.

Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as the "hugging saint", drew a capacity crowd inside the Hammerstein Ballroom in Midtown.

And they all waited for a hug.

A Hindu spiritual teacher, revered as a saint by her followers, she believes if you can touch one person, you can touch the world.

It's estimated she's hugged more than 31 million people in her life.
