New push to stop Bronx car rim thieves

There is a new push to stop thieves from stealing car rims in the Bronx.

Lawmakers reportedly introduced new legislation, allowing rims to have identification numbers.

One state senator says the numbers would help police track down the rims after people steal them.

The NYPD says there were 253 reported thefts across five Bronx precincts last year.

This year, 138 have been reported so far.
