Pa. woman drowns self, baby in NJ motel bathtub

EGG HARBOR TOWSHIP, N.J.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says the bodies were found in an Econo Lodge motel, just outside Atlantic City, around 10 a.m.

A preliminary autopsy by the Atlantic County medical examiner determined both died as a result of drowning. The deaths were classified as a murder-suicide.

The bodies were identified as 40-year-old Tracy Marie Moody, a mother of five from Boiling Springs Pa., and her nine-month-old daughter, Isabella Ann Marie Moody.

Housel says Moody checked into the motel on the July 18 and was schedule to leave sometime Wednesday. When she did not, motel management went to her room and discovered the bodies.
