Police say Shytik Bowman was approached by multiple suspects while returning from the Island Deli and Grocery just after 10:30 p.m.
The suspects apparently demanded his bracelet before shooting him once in the torso. He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects fled the scene.
Relatives say he was not wearing his bracelet when he was found, leading them to believe it was stolen by the suspects.
They said the teen, who lives on the Lower East Side, had briefly stepped out to get food at the deli.
