Pop star Gavin DeGraw was released from the hospital Tuesday evening after he was brutally beaten.

He was out drinking with some friends when he was attacked by a group of men in the early morning hours Monday.

Later, he got hit by a cab.

DeGraw who lives in the city also owns a bar with his brother on the Lower East Side.

The 34-year-old singer and his friends were drinking at a bar in the village.

DeGraw says around 4 a.m. he was assaulted by a group of men on 1st Ave. between 5th and 6th Streets.

Then apparently DeGraw got separated by his friends and started heading north.

Around 19th Street he claims he stumbled into the roadway and got hit by a passing taxi.

A spokesman says paramedics took DeGraw to Bellevue Hospital.

He suffered a broken nose and cuts to his face.

DeGraw has been touring with Train and Maroon 5, but due to his injuries he had to cancel his Tuesday concert in Saratoga Springs.
