Police say they are looking for a 2000 to 2003 Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Liberty with damage to the passenger-side mirror and the front of the vehicle.
The investigation began after a state Department of Transportation maintenance crew, while spraying herbicide along the highway bridge, over Raritan Avenue, discovered the body and called police on July 28th.
An autopsy completed by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Mr. Tejada died from blunt force trauma as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective David Keegan of the South Amboy Police Department at (732) 525-5944, or Investigator Jeffrey Temple of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office at (732) 745-3373.
