Suspect charged in Upper East Side groping attacks

Police say, they finally got their man accused in the groping of nearly a dozen New York City women.

Detectives tracked 18-year old Jose Perez Hernandez to Corona, Queens, where the Mexican immigrant was sleeping in his father's apartment.

Police say he had worked in the kitchen of a restaurant on East 81st Street, as a dishwasher.

Reports say, the owner gave his name to police.

So far, Hernandez is charged with three of the attacks on a dozen women since January.

He faces 2 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, 1 count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, 1 count of Forcible, 2 counts of Touching-DNA-Eligible MISD, and 1 count of Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree-DNA-Eligible MISD.
