NJ Transit trains operated normally for the Wednesday evening commute one day after a derailment near New York's Penn Station caused major service disruptions.
Passengers faced a second morning of delays Wednesday while Amtrak repaired damage caused when two cars of a Trenton-bound train derailed on Tuesday.
Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains were up to an hour late. Midtown Direct trains were diverted to Hoboken.
NJ Transit had publicized a normal morning commute on its website before getting word that Amtrak was still making repairs.
