It happened Wednesday at around 5:30 in the evening. Police say the young girl, just steps from her mom in the toy section, was playing with an electronic piano when 40-year-old Robert Mosquera stepped up behind her and started playing the keyboard with her.
The mom quickly realized this man was grinding up against her daughter, in a rhythmic motion.
When the girl's mother confronted him, he allegedly apologized to her, but she told store security and police who quickly caught up to Mosquera. Investigators later say that he was remorseful for what he did and explained that it was a deviance that he unfortunately possesses.
Police say he has no record of any past arrests, but based on his own alleged statement, they say they haven't ruled out the possibility he's victimized other kids.
"That's really frightening. I really feel for that little girl because nobody should have to go through that at all," said Bayside resident Jennifer Negovetti.
