The New York City medical examiner says four more deaths are now officially blamed on the recent heat wave, bringing the total to eleven.

Three people in their 30s and another person in their 60s died between July 22 and August 1 due to hyperthermia with underlying conditions, officials said.

The six of the previous victims were elderly.

The death of a 10-year-old Brooklyn girl with an underlying condition was also blamed on the heat.
