Brazen bus robbery caught on tape

WHITE PLAINS

The robbery happened on August 2nd at 8:50 p.m. on a Bee Line Bus in White Plains.

While on the #40 Bee Line Bus, the suspect stood up and ripped an iPhone from the victim's hands.

According to police, witnesses said the man yelled give me my phone, and then he immediately got off the bus at East Post Road, in the vicinity of White Plains Hospital.

The suspect may have fled towards the Winbrook Housing Complex, police said.

The suspect is not known to the victim, and originally boarded the bus in Mount Vernon.

He is described as 21-25 years old, approximately 6'0 to 6'3, with a thin build.
