GOP allegedly pushes for Christie to run in 2012

The push to get the New Jersey governor to run for president is reportedly gaining momentum in republican circles.

While Gov. Chris Christie has repeatedly said he doesn't want to enter the 2012 race, the GOP is said to have other plans.

A source close to the governor says the party has "ratcheted up" the pressure after the Iowa straw poll.

There are also reports that focus groups were being conducted on Christie's behalf.

However, a Christie adviser denies the rumor.
