The death of /*Julio Lora*/ was announced Wednesday by the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers. He was wounded on March 31.
Spokesman /*Fernando Mateo*/ says the father of six worked seven days a week, and 12 hours a day, to support his family.
His wake will be held Saturday at the Ortiz Funeral Home in the Bronx.
Donations are being sought to help the Lora family return his body to the Dominican Republic.
