Man climbed up Brooklyn fire escape, attempted rape

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn

It happened on Thursday, August 18th at 2:05 a.m. in /*East Flatbush*/.

The suspect apparently got into the victim's apartment by climbing up the fire escape and then crawling through an open window.

Once inside the victim's bedroom police say he placed his hands on her buttocks waking the victim who began screaming.

The suspect then fled through the kitchen window and down the fire escape in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, South or Central American, approximately 5'05" - 5'07" tall, approximately 160 - 170 lbs., with dark colored hair and medium complexion.
