Coming up: A Second Helping of Life

NEW YORK On Monday, Sept. 19, more than 50 of New York City's leading ladies of restaurants, Broadway, television, radio and publishing will unite against breast and ovarian cancer at "A Second Helping of Life" from 7:00pm-9:30pm at Pier Sixty/Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

The event will benefit SHARE, a New York City-based not-for-profit organization that offers peer-led support to women with breast or ovarian cancer. Guests will enjoy a reception of delectable food, signature cocktails, fine wines and a silent and live auction. Tickets are $300 for general admission at 7:00pm and $500 for VIP early admission at 6:00pm.

The chefs contributing to the evening's culinary offerings include Nancy Olson from the Gramercy Tavern, Heather Carlucci-Rodriguez from Print, Heather Bertinetti from Lion and Crown and Julie Taras Wallach from Tipsy Parson. Celebrity soux chefs will include Anne Burrell, host of Food Network's "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef;" Dana Cowin, editor-in-chief of Food & Wine Magazine; and Joanna Pruess, author of Cast Iron Cookbook.

In addition, the event will honor Jeanne B. Mullgrav, the commissioner of the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development; and Shirley Rodriguez Remeneski, the president and founder of 100 Hispanic Women, Inc.
