Officials say he was driving a Chevy suburban with seven passengers when he sped past a stop sign at Hillside Terrace and Hylan Boulevard and hit a Nissan Sentra.
The suburban flipped over, and crashed into a parked car Monday night.
Police arrested the driver, 25-year-old Brian Pittsley, a short time later in Brooklyn.
An 18-year-old Angel Rivera who was riding in the suburban was killed.
Everyone else was hurt.
Injuries range from a partially-severed arm to a fractured ankle.
Pittsley is charged with one count of leaving the Scene of an accident which resulted in a fatality, one count of leaving the Scene of an accident which resulted in a serious injury and 1 count of Criminally Negligent Homicide.
