Race and food allergies in children

There's a possible link between race and food allergies in children.

A new study of two-year-olds showed African-American children were twice as likely as white children to have an immune response to foods such as peanuts and milk.

Kids who are sensitized to certain foods are more likely to develop full-blown allergies later.

It's unclear if the allergies are actually caused by differences in genes.
