White flesh fruits and veg lower stroke risk

According to one study by Dutch researchers, the dietary fiber and the flavonoids in fruits and vegetables with white flesh like apples, pears, bananas, cauliflower, and cucumbers may play a role.

For every 25-gram increase in the amount of white fruit eaten each day, the risk of stroke went down by 9%.

A typical apple is 120 grams.

However, researchers still recommend eating a rainbow of fruits and vegetables.
