New participating sites for this year's OHNY Weekend include...
- Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Fashion Incubator (Kliment Halsband Architects), studio spaces in the Garment District for the next generation of great fashion designers
- Hôtel Americano (Enrique Norten TEN Arquitectos), a new glass boutique hotel adjacent to the High Line with an industrial metal mesh façade
- Nitehawk Cinema (Caliper Studio), Williamsburg, Brooklyn's new indie film triplex that features vintage interiors and a sculptural LED facade
- PS90 (Curtis + Ginsberg), a Collegiate Gothic-style former public school in Harlem, renovated and transformed into apartments and a community space that's home to the National Dance Institute (NDI)
- the landmarked, two mirror-image townhouses once home to FDR, have been historically restored and adaptively reused for the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College (Ennead Architects)
- Sperone Westwater (Foster + Partners), a new Bowery art gallery featuring a moving exhibition room.
New additions this year also include sites that exemplify environmental sustainability such as the Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, a 6,000 square foot organic vegetable rooftop farm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn; the Passive House (Loadingdock5 Architecture), a private residence that achieves to adhere to the German-based Passivhaus strict standard for energy efficiency; and Myrtle Hall (WASA/StudioA), a new LEED Gold certified building on the campus of the Pratt Institute.
Family-friendly events taking place include a Modern Architecture Scavenger Hunt encompassing all five boroughs, organized by DOCOMOMO US, an organization for the documentation and conservation of the Modern Movement in architecture; a Gowanus Canal Canoe Tour; several bicycle excursions throughout various neighborhoods; and the Holly Whyte Way Arcade Parade, a tour and celebration of the six blocks of privately owned public spaces named for urbanist William H. "Holly" Whyte.
To avoid long lines and see more sites during the Weekend, OHNY offers a VIP Passport with a donation of $150 of more. The Passport offers an OHNY participant and their guest front-of-the-line access to all sites and programs that do not require advance reservations.

Founded in 2001, OHNY is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of New York City's built environment; broadening public awareness by exposing a diverse audience to distinctive examples of architecture, engineering and design; educating and provoking discussion of issues of excellence in design, planning and preservation; and showcasing outstanding new work as well as spaces of historic merit.
