Investigators in Brooklyn are looking into what sparked an early morning fire in a synagogue.

27 units and over 100 firefighters responded to the Congregation Yetev Lev in South Williamsburg after neighbors first reported the fire at around 4:30 this morning.

People in the neighboring apartments fled at the sight of smoke and flames.

The firefighters were able to quickly control the fire and no more units were called to the scene.
