Teen charged in two Queens sex attacks

QUEENS

Special victims detectives in Queens questioned the boy for several hours on Monday after taking him into custody.

The attacks in the pattern date back about a month.

He is charged with the last attack on Oct. 16 in Laurelton, when a 23-year-old woman fought off the suspect near a bus stop.

Police released sketches and surveillance video of the suspect over the weekend.

The teen is also charged in the third attack a week earlier on October 9th at 1:15 a.m. near the vicinity of 145th Road. A 40-year-old woman was approached by the suspect, who pushed her to the ground, punched her several times in the face and attempted to rape her. The suspect fled the scene when a neighbor heard the victims call for help. The victim was taken to an area hospital with bruising to the face.

The attacks began on September 22, but the teen is not charged in three of them. On September 22 just after 1 a.m. police say a 44-year-old victim was entering her home in the Queens Village section when an attacker grabbed her and sexually assaulted her. She began to scream, and the suspect fled.

Then, on October 7 around 11 p.m., a woman entering her home in Queens Village was grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted.

A 23-year-old woman was attacked just before midnight on October 12. She was walking in the vicinity of 226th Street and South Conduit Avenue when she was approached by the suspect, who sexual assaulted her and then fled the scene.
