The weather is turning cold, but New York City is already looking forward to next summer and the start of its new bike share program.

The program is meant to complement the city's 250 miles of bike lanes.

A Portland, Oregon, company will show off a prototype Wednesday in Times Square.

By next summer, it should have 600 rental kiosks in Brooklyn and Manhattan, stocked with 10,000 bikes.
