A man wanted for a shooting in Bronx held police at bay for hours Wednesday, while he hid inside a home in Elmira with a baby.

Officers surrounded the house around 8 a.m.

It was not until 2:45 p.m. that 26-year-old Peter Carrion surrendered.

Police say carrion was armed with a knife but no one was hurt.

He is being brought back to New York to face charges that he shot two people in the Soundview section last month.
