Jogger attacked in Roselle Park

Police in Roselle Park are looking for the suspect accused of assaulting a woman while she jogged.

The incident took place on Saturday, Oct. 22, as the victim jogged on East Westfield Ave.

According to police, the victim was grabbed by the suspect and she was punched in the face. The 41-year-old victim was able to break free after biting one of the suspects hand.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'0" with a stocky build, wearing a blue zip up jacket with a hoodie, and a dark brown ski cap.

In security video released to police they say the suspect seemed to be somewhat disoriented, and just prior to the incident the suspect was seen 'flipping off' a marked police car.
