A ceremony at an American Legion post in Whitestone, Queens marked the send-off of 26 soldiers from the 14th Finance Detachment.
They're heading to train at Fort Dix, followed by deployment to Afghanistan.
These soldiers dedicated countless hours getting ready for their deployment all while holding down civilian jobs.
The unit will travel to Afghanistan to help other soldiers with financial management services, such as check cashing.
