Yonkers boy shot in the eye, possibly with BB

YONKERS

Authorities say the boy was rushed to the emergency room just before 5 p.m. Sunday with the injury. An X-Ray revealed a small piece of metal was lodged behind his eye.

The boy told authorities he was with two cousins in the Caryl Avenue municipal parking lot at approximately 3 p.m., when at some point, the victim felt pain to his eye.

The injury is not life threatening, but the boy was reportedly in surgery.

The initial investigation revealed that the injury is consistent with a BB, but this cannot be confirmed until after the object is removed. There were no calls of shots fired in the area during the time of the incident.
