A woman was fatally stabbed in the head during a dispute in a home in the South Jamaica section of Queens.

A landlord and tenant are both dead after a violent confrontation.

People say from day 1 there was constant bickering and fighting.

Paramedics rushed the owner of the home to the hospital earlier Tuesday morning.

The 62-year-old man was bleeding heavily from the neck, possibly a machete that they found in the home.

Authorities say he used the same weapon to stab his 48-year-old tenant in the head.

Friends said at one point the owner of the home stopped accepting rent from the victim and other tenants.

Neighbors say the tenant recently went to court and was told she could stay. It is not clear what the court fight was over.

Those who know the homeowner say he had been threatened by the victim's boyfriend.

Police have not released the names of the victims.

The landlord was married and the female tenant had a teenage son.
