Up Close November 13, 2011

NEW YORK

How many of the tens of thousands of veterans will return to civilian life? Will they find jobs? And, will they find the support they need for themselves?

The announcement was no doubt welcomed news for military families, but the returning troops are facing the worst labor market in generations and excitement is tempered by a tough economic reality.

On Up Close today is Jonathan Schleifer, Director of Policy for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, to help us understand the challenges facing our veterans.

Joining Mr. Schleifer is Tyler Tanna-Hill, a decorated Marine who finished tours in Afghanistan and Iraq but struggled to find work when he returned home.

Also discussing the challenges facing our troops is Ronnie Micciulla, founder of ARMS – American Recreational Military Services, dedicated to giving back to military families.
