Westport school officials and police are looking into claims a coach provided players with the user name and password to an undisclosed pornographic web site.
The still unidentified coach is an assistant with the high school's freshman football team. The principal says a student, who is not on the team, overheard the information and told school officials.
The superintendant of schools would not go on camera, but did release a statement saying the district is working closely with the Westport police department.
The individual has been removed from any contact with students or players.
The superintendent refused to disclose when he learned of the incident and whether the coach also works in the school system.
Westport police say they're monitoring what they call the school district's internal investigation.
Police say they became aware of the matter on Tuesday night after being contacted by Eyewitness News.
Staples High School has 18-hundred students. Its nickname is the wreckers. It remains to be seen whether this alleged x-rated activity has wrecked another coaching career.
