Authorities are investigating a sad discovery inside a park in New Jersey.

A toddler was found dead, partially submerged in a stream and still strapped in her car seat. Now, police are searching for her father.

The body was found 24 hours after the girl was reported missing.

Police say a group of teenagers walking through Shark River Park found the girl. She has been identified as 2-year-old Tierra Morgan, of Lakehurst.

Investigators say her father, Arthur Morgan III, picked her up Monday morning for a court-approved visit. When they didn't return that night, her mother reported her missing.

Police are searching for the 27-year-old Morgan. Although he faces several charges, he has not yet been charged in the girl's death.

The Monmouth County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine how she died.
