Artists, who are getting ready to perform at even larger venues, perform their music for the small crowd.
What happens here falls somewhere between a rehearsal and a performance.
Opera singer Allison Charney calls them pre-formances. She came up with the idea for the series after realizing that a little more time in front of an audience would better prepare her for her big shows.
The venue is right for up and coming performers, which is why Allison has no problem booking artists. After all, practice in front of an audience makes perfect.
Tickets are $10 for JCC members, $15 for non-members.
