Few contact lense users follow safety guidelines

A new study found few contact lens users follow recommended safety guidelines.

University of Texas researchers found the average patient performs half of the recommended safety practices, even though almost all users know what they are.

The guidelines include replacing solutions, not topping them off, and protecting lenses from tap water, which means not wearing them in the shower.
