Push to simplify parking signs in NYC

NEW YORK

Some signs are clear about if you park here you will get a ticket, but others are not so much.

Parking in New York City has never been easy, but City Councilman Dan Garodnick says it shouldn't be a trap.

He has introduced a bill that would make signs and the combination of signs easier to figure out.

A task force would be created to evaluate signage every three years.

If anyone understands the signs around the city, it would be someone who drives around the city often like a fed ex driver. Yet, we found one with a ticket.

Everyone we spoke with thinks the councilman's idea is a good one, but still no date for when the committee would be created. Until then, read the signs carefully.
