CT school bus driver under fire for Santa comment

NORWALK

Norwalk resident Louis Seeley's complaint remains under investigation by Norwalk schools and First Student, its contracted bus company. He says he filed it last Wednesday after his 8-year-old came home and reported the comments to him.

A spokeswoman for First Student says they do not believe the conversation occurred as it was first reported.

Instead, she says the girl overheard the driver's conversation with other students about what she called "the nature of gift-giving" during the holidays.

First Student says the driver didn't specifically say what the student thought she heard. The driver has been re-assigned to a different route because the company didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

First Student also says the driver has never had any complaints before.
