Long Island Power Authority customers will soon be hit by another rate hike.

Its board of trustees today approved a 1.5% bill increase starting in March.

That's on top of a 2% hike last October.

The trustees also selected New Jersey based PSE&G to manage the electric grid starting in 2014.

The current operator, National Grid, came under heavy fire for its handling of power outages after Tropical Storm Irene.
