Wall Street protesters march to support immigrants

NEW YORK

Marchers protested what they call anti-immigrant laws across the country.

They claim Wall Street has constructed private, for-profit immigration prisons and wage theft from immigrant workers.

Newly organized as the Immigrant Worker Justice Working Group of Occupy Wall Street, immigrants and allies marched from Foley Square, featuring a diverse array of music, dance, and street theater and culminating in a multi-lingual General Assembly at Zuccotti Park.

The march comes on the heels of Monday's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to hear Arizona's appeal of a decision blocking much of that state's immigrant law.
