Long Island beefs up DWI patrols for holiday weekend

Police on Long Island are working overtime to keep the roads safe this New Year's weekend.

Extra officers will be on patrol in Nassau County all weekend as part of the effort to stop drunk driving.

The crackdown includes checkpoints, as well as coordination with car services to provide transportation alternatives for people who have been drinking.
