The city kicked off its annual Mulchfest Saturday.
Through Sunday, you can bring your tree to one of 70 parks across the five boroughs to be recycled.
Crews shred the trees into mulch chips, which the city then uses to help revitalize soil, and help new trees grow.
Chipping also helps reduce landfill waste.
New Yorkers recycled nearly 17,000 Christmas trees last year alone.
