Bus company still operating after ordered shutdown

It's still in business. It's still selling tickets. The question is why.

The Double Happyness Travel, Inc. bus company was ordered to shutdown late last month after a string of potentially life threatening violations.

So why is it still selling bus tickets?

A different company now, says one man, but then he stopped explaining it.

"I can't say anything now," he said.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman at the Department of Transportation told Eyewitness News that the cease and desist order does apply to "all their sales of tickets, whether personally or through intermediaries" and that the company must cease all sales under other names.

Passengers like Kevin Johnson, who was considering buying tickets from this company, changed his mind when we talked to him.

"Wow! You got me stunned. I don't know what to say," Johnson said, adding he probably would not be buying a ticket from them today.
