Student drowns in high school pool in Conn.

Grief counselors will meet with students at a high school in Connecticut Friday after one of their classmates drowned.

Police are still working with eyewitnesses to determine how the 15-year-old drowned during gym class at East Hartford High School Wednesday.

CPR was being performed on the student when emergency crews arrived.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

The student council has scheduled a vigil Friday night at the school.

The student's identity was not released, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
