Well now, we've got an update. Call it the next chapter in the saga of the subway opossum. The New York Times asked what happened to the little critter that startled passengers and bared its teeth at officers trying to remove it? The city said it went to an Animal Control center. But it didn't. Instead, the opossum was sealed in the subway car by itself for nine hours. Then, police grabbed him and released him into a wooded area in the Bronx.
They also named him Jerome, after Jerome Avenue, next to the rail yard.
