New evidence that challenging your mind throughout your life could be the key to preventing Alzheimer's disease.

Researchers at UC Berkeley studied the brains of elderly people.

They found those who kept intellectually stimulated as younger adults ended up with fewer deposits of a plaque in their brain linked to Alzheimer's.

Activities considered mentally challenging in the study included things like reading and crossword puzzles.
