Black tea helps lower blood pressure

Black tea has been found to lower high blood pressure in a new study. (WABC)

A study found people who drank three cups of black tea a day saw a slight drop in their systolic and diastolic blood pressure over the course of six months.

Meanwhile, a control group that drank a beverage with the same amount of caffeine, but no tea, did not get the same results.

Previous research has shown black tea can improve the function of cells that line blood vessels.
