New information on the death of a Bronx man who was robbed and beaten the day he was moving to a safer neighborhood.

Police arrested 29-year-old Devon Downs and charged him with murder and robbery.

Police say Downs was one of two people who attacked 59-year-old Bimal Chanda back in October.

He'd been packing up the last of his belongings to move his family to an area he thought was safer.

The suspects stole less than $20 from Chanda, and left him for dead.

Police are still searching for the second suspect.
