New stem cell treatment for hearts

NEW YORK

A clinical trial at Cedar-Sinai Heart Institute shows treating heart attack patients with an infusion of their own heart cells helped re-grow healthy muscle.

Patients who underwent the stem cell procedure also showed a significant reduction in the size of the scaring left on the heart muscle by a heart attack.
