Guns confiscated, 2 in custody in Bronx crackdown

A half dozen illegal weapons are off the streets and two people are in custody Tuesday after a gun crackdown in the Bronx.

Police from the 47th Precinct executed a search warrant at a home on East 220th Street in the Olinville section Monday night.

They confiscated six stolen guns and numerous rounds of ammunition.

Police say 45-year-old David Saunders and 37-year-old Olympia Striplin were arrested and are charged with weapons possession.
