Morris Township resident Patrick Allocco and his son, also named Patrick, were greeted by family and friends when they arrived around 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Newark Liberty International Airport.
They were detained Dec. 31 after rap star Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai didn't appear for the shows. That angered an Angolan promoter who had fronted $400,000 for the concerts.
The Alloccos were not allowed to leave the country until they negotiated a deal with the promoter. Meanwhile, Angolan government officials were debating whether to press fraud charges against them.
