Former Playboy centerfold gets $1.2M in NYPD suit

New York City may appeal a court verdict that pays more than $1 million to a former Playboy centerfold who was manhandled by police.

The jury awarded Stephanie Adams $1.2 million, which was more than she asked for.

The incident dates back to 2006, when a cab driver slammed a door on Adams' stomach.

When police arrived, the driver said Adams had "flashed vampire teeth" at him and tried to shoot him after he refused to carry her bags into an apartment.

The officers threw Adams to the ground at gunpoint, causing what she says are permanent neck and back injuries.
