Pharmacist arrested again over illegal prescriptions

BALDWIN

Lutful Chowdhury, 62, was arrested on new charges at his Aim Pharmacy in Baldwin, which he owns and is supervising pharmacist.

Chowdhury, who is from Westbury, was charged with illegally distributing Oxycodone.

Last year, Chowdhury was charged with coaching customers on obtaining illegal prescriptions.

Investigators zeroed in on him after he filled a stolen, forged Oxycodone prescription for teen Kayla Gerdes, who drove onto a lawn and struck 69-year-old Dr. Rebecca Twine-Wright in Hempstead in April 2010. Twine-Wright was killed.
