Walking can help reduce blood sugar

There's another reason to get up off your seat.

A new study says taking a break to walk around every 20 minutes, instead of staying seated, can help reduce your blood sugar.

Large glucose and insulin spikes following meals are linked to a greater risk of heart disease and diabetes.

The study is published in the journal Diabetes Care.
